Installation Fee |
Your $29.95 installation fee covers not only
the installation of a modem in your home,
but a full servicing and inspection of your
computer by one of our certified
technicians. Including the cost of a network
card, these services purchased anywhere else
would cost $120.00. The following services
are performed on one computer:
- Determine whether your system meets
minimum requirements
- Assess your system for current and
potential problems
- Advise you of upgradeability if
requested
- Install Ethernet card and drivers as
required
- Configure network settings
- Update and configure an appropriate
web browser
- Install security updates for your
operating system (OS)
- Install security updates for your web
browser
- Update Email software as required
- Configure Email
- Remove parasitic software
- Update your AntiVirus program if
possible
- Check the system for viruses if no
current AntiVirus software is installed
- Test Email configuration
- Test web browser access
- Test ability to release and renew IP
address
- Test restored access after release of
IP address
- Clean the internals of your computer
if it is opened
